Inter vs Juve

VS.

1 - 2

Welcome back

Viva Inter is back for good. It's been a while since the last post but now is probably one of the most frustrating times for Inter, a time for its fans to really come together.

Today's game, La Derby D'Italia, two powerhouses of Italian soccer, Inter vs Juventus is a game that sums up Inter's season so far: great play, so much potential, but weak defense and a lack of concentration. Juventus went ahead with a goal from Vucinic who took the rebound from Matri's shot. And the Inter went level with a wonderful goal from Maicon which took a slight deflection from Litchsteiner. And then Juventu's last goal, still in the second half, with a 1-2 pass saw Marchisio score with a nice finish from the top of the box, curving it around Castellazi's reach. That second goal proved to be enough for Juventus, even though the game was a very heated and attacking one. Inter went on to hit the post with a wonderful header from Pazzini but they never looked too confident in their attacking third. Juventus did well to keep possession, and in the end they had a few chances to close the game with Matri and Marchisio and even Del Piero who came on in the final minutes.

Overall, it was disappointing for Inter fans, even though we saw a much pretty Inter than current games, they still failed to bring home a point, and now face the possibility of being in the relegation zone (after tomorrow's games).
